About Autism Asperger ACT

In August 2006, Asperger Syndrome Support Network (ASSN) amalgamated with Autism ACT (http://autism.anu.edu.au/) to become Autism Asperger ACT. Autism Asperger ACT has two websites http://autism.anu.edu.au/ and www.assn.org.au which will be maintained until they can be combined.

Autism Asperger ACT is a non-profit, parent run organisation which relies on the voluntary work of its members (who live in and around Canberra, A.C.T. Australia). Unlike other autism associations in Australia it does not receive any direct government funding.

Autism Asperger ACT Inc conducts regular general meetings and specific special interest group meetings during the course of every month. See meetings for more information.

The Asperger Syndrome support group meetings are focused on group discussion, giving all the participants a chance to share what is happening for them and allowing the group's collective insight focus on helping people understand and deal with typical problems that come up.

We meet regularly for: coffee and chat; family activities; kids fun; and exchange of information.

Autism Asperger ACT Inc. is a full member of Self Help Organisations United Together (SHOUT). SHOUT provides the organisations phone contact.
